“Uncommon Sense for Parents With Teenagers”

This is the title of a must-have book for parents with teens (or for teachers to recommend to their students’ parents). Chapters touch on topics such as limits and structure, natural consequences, alcohol, drugs and parties, the computer, internet and cell phones. The author of this book is Michael Riera, PhD.

I recently discovered that he wrote another closely related book. It’s called
“Staying Connected to your Teenager (How to Keep Them Talking to You)”. It’s full of great ideas on how to keep communication open during what can be a very difficult phase of life for parents and teens.

Great reads!
